Nashiko & Thomas - Chat Log 2

[/begin chat thread]
[Nashiko] You on the other side?
[Thomas] I am.
[Nashiko] Alright. See you at the front desk.
[Thomas] Will do. Don't forget to take pictures of anything out of the ordinary.

[Thomas] The structural fluctuations seem to have changed the building significantly. I'm not sure continuing is safe.
[Nashiko] I think all of this is from when everything went down, not anything recent. Besides, this wasn't the station it started at.
[Nashiko] We'll keep looking.
[Thomas] If you say so.

[Nashiko] I found a staircase.
[Nashiko] It looks like Marionettes is glitching out around here. Not a good sign.
[Thomas] Don't go down. You don't know what all could be down there.
[Thomas] Nashiko?
[Nashiko] Good news: there's nothing dangerous down there. I think the station's clear.
[Nashiko] Bad news: the fluctuations appear to have switched the basement with the basement of a house. I'm not sure whose house this is.

[Nashiko] As such, any of the records that would've been here are likely lost.
[Thomas] I'm glad you're safe, but you shouldn't do that again. I'm going to find you. We'll finish sweeping this place together.
[Nashiko] It'll be inefficient, but fine.

The file name suggests that they were looking through Station 48. Based on the station monitor system, it seems to me that there are only four stations left. I assume most of the old buildings were picked apart and gobbled up by whoever it is that does so. Interesting to me that 85 was seemingly maintained through it all.

The implication of these so-called structural fluctuations puzzles me. I'll need to see what else is mentioned about them before I can figure out what they are.
