Riley & Wyatt - Chat Log 3

[/begin chat thread]
[Riley] nashiko and I have been talking
[Riley] she came up with a plan, and I think it makes sense, but we need your input
[Wyatt] What is it?
[Riley] so it's clear we need to search through station 85; it's the only place that could have information on how to save the receivers
[Wyatt] This is a bad idea
[Riley] please hear me out
[Wyatt] Okay
[Riley] we'll avoid the basement, as that was where lillian was taken
[Riley] we'll all stick together so we can't be cornered by the receivers
[Riley] and most importantly, we'll only explore small sections at a time, so it'll be lots of small trips instead of one big one
[Riley] that way there's less time and opportunities for the receivers to figure out a way to trap us
[Wyatt] I still don't think this is a good idea. All of Lillian, Josh, and Thomas went into that cursed building, and look where that got them.
[Wyatt] It's in there, and it's clear by now that it's awake. It won't let the receivers go.
[Wyatt] I guess that's the point in searching, isn't it? So we can figure out how to force it to let go. And in the process, we might figure out what really happened.
[Wyatt] God, this is so fucked
[Riley] I'm just interested in saving our friends and then getting the hell out of there
[Wyatt] That should be our primary goal. If the old man Lillian saw is Edward, then that means he's still able to survive in there despite everything that's been going on. So what I said before is still true. We need to prioritize finding him
[Riley] agreed
[Riley] he contained the signal and stopped the receivers before
[Riley] if he's still safe, then that must mean he has another plan

Riley doesn't seem interested in the truth of what happened, despite everyone else (including me) thinking that it's important to understand what truly went down. She must know more than she's letting on.

From context, I assume that these aformentioned receivers are those that have been "taken." Lillian, Joshua, and Thomas. I don't know what the origin of the term is. I'm also unsure about what this "signal" is, but I do recall a page in Marionettes named as such. I'll check it out.
